Residents brought several property maintenance and stormwater issues to Penn Twp. supervisors at their May 27 meeting.
One resident described an overgrown property that is contributing to pooling water due to clogged drainage. Supervisors agreed to have the road crew assess the situation and determine if additional clearing can help alleviate the water retention.
Another resident expressed frustration over a neighboring field that has become overgrown with brush and poison ivy, causing nuisance conditions on adjacent properties. While supervisors explained that the township has no grass-cutting ordinance for agricultural zones, they noted that general nuisance laws may apply and recommended the resident consult private legal counsel.
