Liverpool Borough Council was requested by a resident to reduce the speed limit along Route 11/15 that runs through the borough. Frequent accidents and safety concerns were noted.

Council members, at their May 21 meeting, explained that such a change would required PennDOT involvement. While past efforts to engage the state agency have yielded limited success, council agreed to have the zoning officer inquire further.

Council members and residents discussed anticipated traffic increases due to potential commercial development at the former Family Dollar building. Reports suggest that Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins may establish a joint presence there.
