The White House mobilized the National Guard to respond to violent riots in the streets of Los Angeles.

The riots have resulted in attacks against Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and against other federal agents as well, ICE said in a tweet.

Two thousand National Guardsmen have been deployed to the city in response to the riots, according to the White House.
