LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - High school softball regionals were contested across the state on Saturday, and three area teams captured regional titles and punched their tickets to the state quarterfinals.
In Div. 3, Laingsburg faced Jackson Lumen Christi in the regional finals and won 5-4 on a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the regional title.
Grass Lake beat Brooklyn Columbia Central 11-4 in the regional finals to win its first regional title since 2022.
In Div. 1, Grand Ledge beat Saginaw Heritage 4-3 on a walk-off single in the bottom of the 8th inning to capture the Comets’ first regional title since 1979.
Laingsburg and Grass Lake will meet in the quarterfinals at Jackson College on June 10th at 4 p.m.
