Defender Aidan Corbalis controlled faceoffs for Warwick during Saturday’s Class B boys’ lacrosse state tournament quarterfinal and held Vestal’s best player to two goals and an assist.

For good measure, Corbalis, a senior, scored two goals with three assists to help Warwick to a historic 20-8 win at Union-Endicott High School. The Wildcats (16-1) are believed to be the first Section 9 boys’ lacrosse team to reach the state semifinals. Warwick plays Garden City in the final four at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Faller Field at Middletown High School.
