Seattle police are investigating after a 38-year-old man was shot in Sand Point, North Seattle this afternoon.

At 5:08 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a drive-by shooting in the 6300 block of Northeast 65th Street. They located a victim with a gunshot wound (GSW) in his leg, a hand injury, and possibly a GSW in his ankle. The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) arrived and treated the victim. SFD Medic One transported him to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim reported to police that he had been targeted in a drive-by shooting, yet he failed to give officers detailed information regarding the incident. The police investigation contradicted his story. The shooting likely took place inside the victim’s residence, yet officers did not locate any
