ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

"There's like a buzz around here," Nathan Ortiz said. "It's kind of it's kind of cool. I've always had to work every time there's Pride, and you can just feel the energy around here. It's really awesome."

Ortiz is celebrating his first Pride in Albuquerque. A day he and others agree is more than a celebration.

"We as Americans, as Albuquerque fans, we're here to support and love each other," Victor Raigoza said.

Booker Gonzalez said, "It's okay to be different, and there's nothing wrong with me. There's nothing wrong with any of us."

Whether they have brought their partners, their kids, or even their pets, everyone is getting in the spirit to show their true colors this year.

"We need pride for those who have always been hated for who they are," Raigoza said.
