FAUQUIER COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- A 16-year-old is facing multiple charges after a high-speed chase with deputies Friday, according to the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office.

A deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle shortly after 10:30 p.m. north of Remington, Virginia, when the driver refused to stop and a pursuit began.

Deputies say the driver reached speeds of over 110 MPH before the deputies were able to stop the vehicle by deploying multiple spike strips near the intersection of Beach Road.

According to deputies, the car struck at least two vehicles after hitting the spike strip, including an FCSO cruiser.

Deputies say no one was seriously hurt during the incident.
