It's a Brent Venables-coached team. It'll always have an aggressive and strong defense, and this one gets the benefit of a far, far better offense to help the cause.Last year's version was great at getting into the backfield, finished 19th in the nation overall, and held up well. But again, it didn't get enough help - the Sooners were 0-6 when allowing more than 21 points. This year's bunch is almost all homegrown. There's not much from the portal, but that's partly because Venables and his staff have spent the last three years bulking up the talent.
