BILLINGS, Mont. – The National EMS Memorial Service, a tribute honoring fallen emergency medical services professionals, made a stop at the Freedom Memorial in Billings. This event is part of a 6,500-mile journey across the nation.

The memorial service travels in a specially decorated ambulance, visiting 29 locations to honor 29 EMS responders who died in the line of duty. In Billings, first responders welcomed the service, and several speakers shared why these heroes should be remembered and why a memorial in Washington, D.C. is necessary.
