COLUMBUS — Nyla King proved to be queen of the sprints at the Division II state track and field meet Saturday.
Racing at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on Ohio State’s campus, King swept the 100-, 200-, and 400-meter dashes.

The Mississippi State commit opened with her victory in the 100, where her time of 11.6 seconds was 36-jhundreths of a second better than second-place Emma Layne of South Point. The result was the fastest time in the finals across all three divisions.
King next ran the final of the 400, where she finished nearly 1.5 seconds ahead of the D-II field in 54.36 seconds. It was the third-fastest girls 400 time in Saturday’s finals, behind Isabella Zahn of Coldwater, who set the D-III state record with a 52.89-sec
