CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) -- For the first time in nearly four decades, the Cyclones of Sacred Heart-Griffin are state baseball champions.
Sacred Heart-Griffin defeated Teutopolis 5-4 thanks to a hit from Tommy Lauterbach to walk it off in the seventh inning.
The Cyclones end the season with a 25-8 record. Teutopolis finishes as the state runners-up.
