It was an impressive season for the New York Knicks despite them coming up just short of reaching the NBA Finals.

New York finished third in the Eastern Conference in the regular season and they were then able to make a run to the Eastern Conference Finals after they eliminated both the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics.

This was the Knicks' first Conference Finals appearance since 2000 but they were unable to advance to the NBA Finals after being eliminated in six games by the Indiana Pacers.

While the Knicks did fall short of making the NBA Finals, it was still a successful season as their new core helped make them contenders once again.
