ALLEN, Neb. -- Many people desire that little slice of heaven, a patch of land where they can find respite from life's demands.
Odilon Dominguez acquired his nearly four years ago and has turned three blighted acres along U.S. Highway 20 into a unique gathering spot that gets second glances from passing motorists who must wonder what exactly this place is.
"I just wanted a place for the family to come together," said Dominguez, who lives in South Sioux City.
He and his wife, Maria, have turned a plot that once was overgrown with weeds and the site of a couple dilapidated mobile homes into a fun and relaxing place for friends and family, along with some eye-catching features Dominguez named after each of his five daughters.
