Shocking footage has emerged of a supermarket worker tackling a suspected shoplifter who appears to be trying to steal packets of cheese.

The face-off took place in Aldi in Sittingbourne and shows what Kent retail staff are having to deal with on an increasingly regular basis as reports of thefts continue to soar.
