LOS ANGELES – Two men were killed and two people were injured Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in the Sun Valley area of Los Angeles.

The crash was reported at 3:33 p.m. Saturday at 8000 N. Laurel Canyon Boulevard, at Strathern Street, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.

A 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The critically injured patient, described as a 24-year-old man, died at a hospital, according to Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Lt. E. Lopez.

The two men who were killed were trapped when firefighters arrived at the scene and firefighters used hydraulic tools to free them. The two patients with minor injuries, including a 45-year-old man, refused to be taken to hospitals by ambulance, she said.
