BOYLE HEIGHTS – A man who was stabbed to death in Boyle Heights in what police described as a possible domestic dispute was positively identified Saturday.
Thirty-four-year-old Santiago Meza Lopez died inside a residence, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. It was unclear if it was his residence.
Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon report at 10:44 p.m. Thursday at 323 North Soto St., between Cincinnati and Folsom streets, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Arriving officers learned a woman, 30 to 35 years old, was engaged in a verbal confrontation with Lopez and allegedly stabbed him multiple times with a sharp object, possibly a pair of scissors, according to an LAPD spokesman.
The woman was taken into police custody, according to the department.
