Legendary singer reveals she made plans to die after cancer diagnosis

Iconic singer Taylor Dayne recently sat down for an interview with Parade, and she opened up about her recent battle against colon cancer.

The good news is that the 63-year-old is cancer free now, and she is even working on new music. But she told Parade that after she received her diagnosis in July of 2022 she went to Hawaii “to die.”

“I was at the Blue Note in Hawaii because I said I’m going to go there to die,” she told Parade. “(I said), ‘I want to stay in Hawaii. I’ll go there, and I promise you… Let me play the Blue Note. I’ll walk on stage. I’ll sit at night in my little stool, and I promise you, I’ll go back and forth (to the hospital there)’.”
