AMES, Iowa (KWQC) - Assumption beat Denver 2-0 in the 1A championship game at the girls State Soccer Tournament. Dru Dorsey and Ruby Stevens each scored goals for Assumption and were named to the All-Tournament Team. Assumption junior Camryn Menke was named Captain of the All-Tournament Team. This is Assumption’s 12th State Championship in girls soccer which is an Iowa record.
