BROOKINGS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The South Dakota Football Coaches Association High School All-Star game returned to Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium on Saturday for the second consecutive year.

Offense did not appear to come back though as the defenses were dominant on Saturday in Brookings.

With a 25-yard scoop-and-score from Waubay/Summit’s Brooks Dolen, who would be named defensive player of the game, in the opening minutes of the game setting the tone, the Blue Team blanked the Red Team 12-0.

Aberdeen Central’s Cordel Rychlik was named Game MVP after picking off logging six tackles and picking off six passes. Blue team offensive lineman Ben Paepke (Rapid City Central) was named offensive player of the game, in part for helping pave the way for Brandon Valley’s Madden Timmer to score the
