The British pub industry is in crisis with venues closing at a rate of more than three-a-day this year.
Data from the Campaign for Real Ale showed a continuing downturn in pub numbers, with 303 premises in England, Scotland, and Wales closing in the first quarter of 2025. Another 46 closed but were used for other functions.
The figures were the latest bad news after CAMRA confirmed 1,062 pubs remained vacant after closing last year, with another 210 were converted into retail spaces or residential units, reports the Mirror .
