A benefits claimant has said that their own mother steals their PIP payment each month and has done so for four years.

They were unaware that the DWP benefit was granted to them after their mum applied behind their back, they said.

This was done when the person was 16 and now they are 20, meaning that around £520 has been taken from them each month for four years.

If this is the case, they have lost out on more than £24,000.

Bringing up the matter causes family arguments, the person said, and they asked other social media users what they should do.
