East Lothian residents have hit out against proposed parking restrictions in Haddington, calling them a "cash grab" from the council they say will deter people from frequenting the high street.

Business owners spoke to Edinburgh Live about their worries, saying there is "no justification" for the changes.

The dissent comes amid an ongoing parking consultation in Haddington. The proposed changes would implement 30-minute short stay parking on Haddington's main shopping streets, new parking fees, and a crackdown on enforcement.
