An urgent appeal for the public's help to find a missing teenage girl has been issued by police.

Ruby Wallwork's mother has also issued a plea, saying the family 'just want her back home safe with us where she belongs'.

Police say they are 'becoming increasingly concerned' for her safety and welfare. Ruby, who is 13, has been described by her family as 'vulnerable'.

British Transport Police are also involved, as it's believed she may have caught a train.

A social media appeal was issued by police today - Sunday - with anyone with information being urged to come forward immediately. Images of Ruby have also been issued.

She's been missing for more than 24 hours now.
