Free bus passes are being handed to some UK passengers who have seven medical conditions. There are seven categories that entitles those people with a disability to the statutory minimum travel concession as set out in Section 146 of the Transport Act 2000.
The list of requirements includes being Blind or Partially Sighted (Category A), Profoundly or Severely Deaf (Category B), Without Speech (Category C), Walking Difficulties (Category D) and Without the Use of Both Arms (Category E).
The list includes Learning disability (Category F) and Medical Fitness Affecting Ability to Drive or Hold a Licence (Category G). You will be required to produce evidence to demonstrate your residency status.
