Now, Canton is acquiring the site and plans to annex it.

PLAIN TWP. – The former Edgefield School property that later served as an office site for Stark County educational services may soon be developed into new housing for Canton residents.

The governing board of the Stark County Educational Service Center has agreed to transfer the now-vacant property at 2100 38 th St. NW to the city of Canton. Canton plans to annex the three acres and then build homes on the property.
