The giant metal slide is up and running for the summer at Detroit's Belle Isle state park.
The giant slide's hours are 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays and 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
School is out for most Michiganders, and Belle Isle is ready for them to slide into summer. The once-viral giant slide is open for the 2025 season .
Visitors taller than 4 feet can take a ride on the 40-feet-tall slide anytime 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays and 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The slide has been a feature of Belle Isle since the late 1960s and went viral in the summer of 2022 with clips of riders catching air and taking hard landings making their rounds on social media.
The slide isn't Belle Isle's only feature. Its aquarium, athletic fields, nature
