Q I saw a man wearing shorts in GQ with a tie. Is this really an acceptable style? And if so, when and where?

A I am afraid you will be disappointed with my answer, because I have never been a fan of dressing "up" in shorts. I've always thought of shorts as a comfortable around-the-house or going to casual occasions sort of dressing and not as a way for a grown-up adult man to try to look fashionable. Therefore, I don't think of it as a really acceptable style. Despite my position on this, there definitely has been an increase in wearing shorts in less formal settings.
