What’s with the irresponsible, misleading reporting at the Times-Call? At the June 3 City Council meeting, many people spoke about problems with the proposed Distel Tull land exchange of open space property, but there was nary a word about this in your big story about this meeting. Your story said only that people spoke about proposed airport landing fees and secondhand smoke and marijuana establishments. During the first public-to-be-heard session, 10 folks talked about the airport, zero about secondhand smoke and nine about the land swap, including a former Longmont city manager and former Boulder County commissioner. This egregious omission deserves to be corrected by a follow-up story or apology if you want to be believed to be an accurate, unbiased source of local information.
