LIBERTY, Ohio - Three people have been critically injured in a house explosion in Liberty caused by illegal fireworks, according to investigators.
Crews first responded to East Montrose Street Saturday night around 9:30 p.m.
Neighbors told 21 News that they hear a loud "boom" and felt their homes shake.
Residents were evacuated from their homes life as a safety precaution, but have since been let back into their homes.
Liberty Fire Chief Doug Theobald believes the explosion was caused by illegal fireworks.
The names of those injured have not yet been released.
