The time has come for diplomas, cheers and maybe a few happy tears as convocation ceremonies are held for post-secondary graduates across the Niagara region.
More than 8,800 students are expected to graduate from Niagara College and Brock University this week — saying goodbye to years of reading and studying as they move from one chapter to another.
College ceremonies begin Monday and run through Saturday at Simplii Financial Athletic Centre at the Welland campus., while Brock’s Ian D. Beddis Gymnasium plays host to graduating students Tuesday through Friday.
With more than 5,000 graduating students, Niagara College will hold 12 convocation ceremonies over six days, the first for academic and liberal studies, justice and fitness, and community services.
