SAN FRANCISCO—On June 6, the SFDA’s Office announced that Jonathan Lam, 35 was charged in connection to a hit-and-run incident in the Richmond District that injured a five-year-old child. Lam was arraigned on June 5 and pleaded not guilty and denied the allegations.

He is charged with one count of leaving the scene of an accident (VC 20001(a)), with an allegation that the collision resulted in serious injury to the victim (VC 20001(b)(2)).

According to court documents, on May 24, at 6:14 p.m., the victim, a five-year old, was riding her bike in the crosswalk with her mother a few steps behind her at 31st Avenue and Clement Street when the defendant allegedly turned left onto 31st Avenue running over the victim.

He was allegedly driving a rental Jeep Wagoneer SUV at the time of the incid
