UK households can save up to £360 a year on toilet roll by following a simple tip , experts say. Research shows the average household spends £428 a year on loo roll, but you could cut this figure down significantly.

Buying the household staple is unnecessarily setting back UK households HUNDREDS. New research by Victorian Plumbing, who analysed 1,000 people's habits, found that the average Brit uses eight sheets of toilet paper per visit.

This works out to an estimated 56 sheets daily. Victorian Plumbing also examined the big four supermarkets’ own-brand toilet rolls to compare their cost against the UK’s most popular brand.
