HOUSTON (KIAH) — On Wednesday, a suspect was arrested for a chemical incident on a METRO train. Garland Bailey, 61, is being charged with injury to disabled.
According to court documents, surveillance video from the Preston station on Main showed Bailey boarding a light rail train. In his hand when he sat down, he allegedly held pepper spray.
Court documents reveal witnesses reported Bailey spraying pepper spray inside the train. Three people were injured and had to go to the hospital.
According to Metro Police, they used facial recognition technology to identify the suspect from the images in surveillance and body-worn cameras.
