HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- Traffic has been blocked near Juniper Bay Road and Redwood Lane in Conway as authorities respond to an incident involving a person near the roadway, Horry County Fire Rescue said.

Crews were sent to the area just after 5:30 a.m., and the area is expected to be blocked for an extended duration with critical injuries reported.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Horry County Police Department are assisting.
