CLEVELAND (WJW) -- Multiple sources confirm to the Fox 8 I-Team a shooting happened Sunday morning that sent several people to the hospital.

According to Cleveland Police, officers received reports of drag racing in the area and Lee Rd. and Harvard Ave., on the city's east side, just after midnight.

"While officers were enroute, additional calls indicated that gunfire had occurred at the scene," a Sunday news release from Cleveland Police stated.

At the scene, officers found that a total of seven people had been shot, including two 18-year-old males, three 18-year-old females, one 19-year-old male and one 19-year-old female.

Three victims were taken to the hospital via private vehicles. Four were transported by EMS. Police said they all suffered non-life threatening injuries.
