Councillors have welcomed revised plans for the final phase of a major Stoke-on-Trent business park. The proposed scheme in Etruria will add another 10 industrial units to the development previously known as St Modwen Park Stoke Central.
Planning committee members at Stoke-on-Trent City Council voted to approve the application from developer Indurent - a company formed by the merger between St Modwen and Industrials REIT. The site, which sits next to the Trent and Mersey Canal, already had planning permission for a single 6,700 square metre warehouse.
Indurent's agent told the committee that the new plans were drawn up due to changes in the market. But as the previous permission is still in place, Indurent will have the option of taking forward either of the schemes.
