PATTERSONVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The New York State Police Trooper that was injured in a car crash on I-90 on Friday is now recovering at home, authorities have told NEWS10.

The car crash reportedly occurred around 12:30 p.m. in Pattersonville while the trooper was conducting a traffic stop on a Honda west of Exit 26. A tractor without a trailer had struck the trooper's patrol car from behind, causing it to collide with the Honda and throwing the trooper over a guiderail, into a nearby embankment, State Police said.

The trooper had been hospitalized at Albany Medical Center for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver and passenger in the Honda were treated for minor injuries at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.
