BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- The widespread rain and thunderstorms have winded down. Hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms are expected Sunday afternoon.

A few thunderstorms could become strong, mainly south of I-20. Highs will reach the low 80s. We are Weather Aware through Monday for the threat of damaging winds, hail and heavy rain.
