PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A crime scene has been established at the intersection of Broad Street and Exchange Street in Pawtucket.

The Pawtucket Police Department has blocked off the road for what appeared to be an investigation Sunday.

ABC 6 News crews on scene saw police tape across the road as well as several cruisers and officers.

A witness told ABC 6 he heard police yelling “drop it” before shooting a man.

The bystander said the man had what appeared to be a plastic toy gun.

ABC 6 has reached out to Pawtucket Police for more information but has not yet heard back.
