REDDING, Calif. - Just before 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 7 police responded to a report of a stabbing at a home on the 7400 block of Bridge Ln. in Redding. Later 24-year-old Vincent Michael Souza was arrested for the incident, which included charges of attempted murder, domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.

A woman at the home where the stabbing occurred told officers that Vincent Michael Souza was her ex-boyfriend and that he had stabbed a friend of hers before leaving in a black passenger vehicle.

Shasta County Sheriff's deputies arrived to find a man with stab wounds to his neck and arms. The victim was then taken to a local hospital and is expected to fully recover from his wounds.
