Two people were taken to hospital following a house fire on Manitoba Avenue Sunday afternoon, according to the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS).

Crews responded to the 100 block of Manitoba Avenue at 1:38 p.m. on June 8 after receiving reports of a fire in a single-storey residence. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the fire had already been extinguished. They remained on scene to confirm that no hot spots remained.

All occupants of the home were able to evacuate on their own before firefighters arrived. Paramedics assessed three individuals at the scene. Two were transported to hospital — one in unstable condition, the other in stable condition.
