SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Common Council has scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Thursday morning. The topic: Mayor Ben Walsh's payroll modernization effort that began five years ago and cost city taxpayers more than $8 million.

The specific purpose of the Thursday meeting is described as "an update and public release of the Payroll Modernization external audit".
As of Sunday, it is not clear whether this meeting will feature the auditors and full report details or whether that will come later.
