OGDEN, Utah (KUTV) — A Weber County K-9 that was training in narcotics detection died Saturday from an "unexpected medical condition."

The Weber County Sheriff's Office said K-9 Nova was "just shy of 2 years old" when she died. They did not release details on the medical condition that led to her death.

"It is with deep sorrow that the Weber County Sheriff’s Office announces the untimely passing of Police Service Dog 'Nova'," the department posted on social media Sunday.
