GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) - Visitors at the Glasgow Pride Family Picnic heard gunfire in the area Sunday afternoon.
The picnic started at noon, with the gunshots heard around 3 p.m., according to viewers who attended the event.
According to Glasgow PD Public Information Officer Major Terry Flatt, there was no active shooter or shooting at the event.
He said the shots occurred near Beaver Trail, located across the creek from the Glasgow Pride Family Picnic. The police department and Sheriff’s office discovered an individual was shooting a gun only on their property.
“Extra units did respond to the area when that call was given out,” Flatt said. “There were no arrest or injuries, officers did make contact with the people shooting on private property.”
