A new study has unveiled the average age Brits meet their best friend but maintaining friendships are found to get harder as we age.
The typical Briton met their best friend at the age of 19, with one in ten maintaining the same friendship since they were 10 years old.
A study involving 2,000 UK adults disclosed that 22% encountered true lifelong friends between the ages of 11 to 15, making school the ultimate breeding ground for friendships. Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT
Classrooms was the birthplace for 37% of these friendships, particularly among Gen-Z and millennials, while clocking in at work led to 17% finding their lifelong mate.
