According to Boston Magazine , the legacy of the giant Hood milk bottle began in 1933 when it was used as an ice cream stand in Taunton, Massachusetts. The magazine noted that ownership would be passed on after some time, but the sweet treats would continue to be sold at the location until the '60s.
