LACEY, Wash. — A 19-year-old was arrested for vehicular assault after injuring 10 people in a four-car crash Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. after a Lacey police officer saw a 2014 Dodge Charger being driven recklessly on College Street Southeast.

The officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle and conduct a traffic stop. The Charger turned east onto 14th Avenue Southeast to flee from the officer.

The driver then fled at a high speed onto Ruddell Road Southeast where, police said, he caused a four-car crash. The crash caused the Charger to catch fire, but its passengers were able to self-extricate.
