SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Dozens of protesters gathered at a federal building in Salt Lake City on Sunday to show their support for Los Angeles protests and immigrant communities nationwide.
The Utah rally was just one among many that took place nationwide following recent ICE raids and the deployment of military personnel to Los Angeles protests .
With only a few hours’ notice, more than 50 people gathered in downtown Salt Lake City. They carried signs and chanted "no hate, no fear ... immigrants are welcome here," calling attention to what they described as a crisis.
