PORT ANGELES — An 18-year-old from Port Angeles was arrested after allegedly firing a handgun from a moving vehicle on Deer Park Road, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies responded around 8 p.m. on June 5 after receiving a Snapchat video showing the suspect, identified as Cash Coleman, discharging a 9mm semi-automatic handgun out the driver’s side window. Investigators used landmarks from the video to determine the location of the shot and recovered a spent shell casing nearby.

Coleman turned himself in on June 7, surrendered the firearm, and provided a statement. He was booked and later released, facing a gross misdemeanor charge of unlawful discharge of a firearm.
